Large events: Holiday Inn and Van der Valk
The Holiday Inn Berlin Airport Conference Centre in Schönefeld operates one of the largest conference centres in the state of Brandenburg: 21 event rooms from 20 to 625 m², all with daylight, hosting conferences for up to 1,000 participants, plus 295 guest rooms and an underground car park. From Terminal 1, the S-Bahn (lines S9 or S85) takes you one stop to Schönefeld station; bus 744 stops at the hotel but only runs as far as Schönefeld station, and a taxi ride takes about 10 min.
The Van der Valk Berlin Brandenburg in Blankenfelde-Mahlow offers even more space: 24 flexibly combinable rooms from 30 to 750 m² and a congress and event centre for up to 1,500 guests. The hotel sits directly on the A10 motorway (Berlin’s southern ring road) and suits delegates arriving by car: about 20 min from the terminal, with 400 free parking spaces including charging stations.
Meeting directly at the terminal
The Steigenberger Airport Hotel Berlin stands about 50 m from Terminal 1 and offers 12 ground-level, air-conditioned meeting rooms on approx. 1,200 m² for up to 300 guests. A special feature: cars can be driven into the rooms, for example for vehicle presentations. If you want to spare your attendees any transfer at all, this is the place; guest rooms start at approx. €120.
Right next door, the IntercityHotel Berlin Airport BER Terminal 1+2 has 7 meeting rooms (including two boardrooms, small meeting rooms for a handful of people) for up to approx. 240 guests, plus 360 guest rooms. The terminal check-in area is just 2–5 min away on foot, with rooms from approx. €90.
Smaller meetings on a budget
The IntercityHotel Berlin Airport Area North in Alt-Schönefeld works well for seminars and mid-sized formats: 6 partly combinable, air-conditioned rooms on approx. 375 m², with a maximum of 266 guests in theatre-style seating. Meeting packages start at approx. €59 per person (from 10 participants), and room rates are usually below those of the terminal hotels. Terminal 1 is about 15 min away by S-Bahn plus a short walk.
Getting there: the location’s strongest argument
For events drawing attendees from across Germany, BER is a convenient meeting point: the railway station “Flughafen BER Terminal 1-2” sits directly beneath Terminal 1 and is served by ICE long-distance trains, regional trains, the FEX (airport express train) and S-Bahn lines S9 and S85. Attendees from central Berlin arrive in under 30 min, and guests flying in reach their conference hotel minutes after landing. Yes. The airport itself rents out rooms in its Operating Area BER North in Schönefeld, which is outside the terminal: five rooms at the conference centre, from a four-seat meeting room (Room 110) to the Great Hall seating 130 in classroom or 200 in theatre style, plus seven workshop rooms at the Dialog-Forum at Mittelstraße 11, from a six-person circle (Gewächshaus) to a divisible studio for 200. The German version of the airport's list quotes prices from €100 for the smallest rooms to €750 for the large halls (as of August 2026); it does not say what period that covers. Note that the English version of the same page is out of date: it gives only 63 or 96 seats for the Great Hall and no Dialog-Forum, so have both capacity and rental period confirmed with your enquiry. Conference technology, full service and use of the staff restaurant (Mon to Fri 7:30 am to 2:00 pm) are available on request, and the Dialog-Forum has some free parking spaces.
Where can I hold a short meeting at BER without going to a hotel?

Booking works through the NUUUORK app, and the airport lists prices from €12 per hour (as of August 2026). For a one to two hour conversation that is usually easier than a hotel meeting room: meeting packages are normally sold by the half day or full day and from 10 participants, as at the Van der Valk Berlin Brandenburg.
What will attendees pay for parking if we meet right at Terminal 1?
The terminal hotels point guests to the airport's own car parks: the Steigenberger names garage P3 about 50 m away at €9 per hour and €56 for a day ticket. A meeting day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm exceeds the hourly rate, so the day ticket applies (the airport likewise caps P3 at €56 for up to 24 hours). The airport's P107 car park is far cheaper at €24 per 24 hours, but the walk to the terminal takes about 25 min. If many attendees drive, a hotel away from the terminal often works out better; the Van der Valk in Blankenfelde-Mahlow, for example, has 400 free parking spaces. I am flying in for a single meeting day without an overnight stay. Where do I leave my suitcase?
At the ServiceCenter in the airport railway station below Terminal 1 (level U1), the operator Sasse takes your luggage at the counter. According to its price list (as of 30 October 2025), storage costs €10.50 for up to 4 hours and €18.50 for up to 24 hours per item, and the cloakroom service for a coat is €8.50 for up to 24 hours. Handy before a presentation: the desk also prints documents at €2.00 per page. The airport does not publish the opening hours on that page, so check them with airport information (+49 30 6091 6091 0) beforehand and allow time before your return flight.
