Can we take our own pushchair from the hotel all the way to the aircraft?
Only if it is compact: at BER, prams and buggies that are more than 25 cm high when folded have to be handed in at the oversized baggage counters. Smaller models such as travel buggies can usually go to the aircraft, according to the airport. If you check yours in, you can borrow a buggy free of charge at one of 21 stations in Terminals 1 and 2 while stocks last; it is allowed through the security check and is returned at another station. On the S-Bahn and buses a pushchair travels free of charge.
Is there a dedicated family security lane at BER?
Yes. The BER Family Entrance at security control area 5 in Terminal 1 is a separate access point for families with children up to the age of five, with or without a pushchair; up to two adults and any minor siblings may come along. Babies, children and anyone under 100 cm in height do not pass through the body scanner but are checked by hand instead. Once airside, children can burn off energy at the Kids' Corner in Terminal 1 on level E1. Every security checkpoint leads to all gates, so the family lane is optional.
Can we take baby milk and drinks for the children through security at BER?
