Holiday Inn the niu Pax Berlin Airport is a co-branded IHG and Novum Hospitality hotel in Schönefeld that opened in July 2025, about 3 km from BER’s Terminal 1 as the crow flies. The hotel offers 158 modern rooms on eight floors, a 24-hour front desk and rates from around 60 euros per night. There is no hotel shuttle; taxi, S-Bahn and bus are the practical alternatives.
Who it’s for
- Early flyers: breakfast from 6:30 on weekdays, a front desk staffed around the clock, and the terminal about 10 minutes away by car
- Families: family rooms with sofa beds; up to two children aged 12 and under have breakfast free of charge when accompanied by a full-paying adult
- Drivers: 53 parking spaces on site (20 of them in the underground garage) at 19 euros per day with in/out privileges
- Design-minded guests: a brand-new property in the niu style with lounge, bar and a 24-hour snack shop
- Less suitable if you expect a free terminal shuttle or a hotel within walking distance of the terminal
Getting there from the terminal
The hotel does not run its own shuttle. A taxi takes about 10 minutes from Terminal 1. By S-Bahn, take the S9 or S85 one stop from Flughafen BER Terminal 1–2 station to Schönefeld; from there it is roughly 700 m, about a 10-minute walk, to Hans-Grade-Allee 6. Alternatively, bus 744 stops close to the hotel, but it only runs to S Schönefeld station (Terminal 5), from where you continue by S-Bahn. By car, take the A113 to the Schönefeld-Nord exit; the driving distance from the terminal is about 7 km.
