Moxy Berlin Airport is the Marriott group’s lifestyle hotel at BER: around 3 km from Terminal 1, in Schönefeld right next to the Kienberger Allee bus stop. With 236 air-conditioned rooms, a bar that stays open around the clock and express check-in, the hotel is clearly geared towards air travellers who want a straightforward overnight stay before an early departure or after a late arrival.

Who it’s for

• Early flyers: shuttle from around 3:30 am, breakfast from 6:00 am, snacks and drinks at the 24-hour bar
• Late arrivals: the front desk is staffed around the clock, and check-in is handled at the bar in a few minutes
• Design-minded travellers who prefer Moxy’s playful concept to a classic business hotel
• Budget-conscious guests: depending on dates, rooms are often available for under €100
• Less suitable if you want to walk to the terminal: the route is not walkable

Getting there from the terminal

Walking from Terminal 1 is not practical. The paid shuttle (a bus shared with the neighbouring parking operator) runs roughly every 30 minutes between about 3:30 am and 12:30 am and costs around €3.50 per person per ride; at BER it departs from the B02 bus area. A cheaper option are public buses 263 and 741, which connect the terminal with the Kienberger Allee stop directly at the hotel in a few minutes (regular public transport fare). A taxi costs around €11–15.
