Premier Inn Berlin Airport is the British budget chain’s hotel at BER: a new build from May 2023 with 296 rooms in the Business Park Berlin, around 4.5 kilometres from Terminal 1. There is no hotel shuttle, but the Grünbergallee S-Bahn station is only a few minutes’ walk away and links the hotel directly with the terminal. The formula is consistent standards and predictable pricing rather than extras.
Who it’s for
- Budget-conscious travellers: double rooms from around €79, often cheaper than the hotels right at the terminal
- Families: family rooms available; up to two children under 16 eat breakfast free per adult taking the breakfast buffet
- Early departures: breakfast from 6:30 on weekdays; for very early flights a taxi is advisable, as S-Bahn services are less frequent at night
- Business travellers: two meeting rooms and a location in the Business Park Berlin close to the A113
- Less suitable if you want to stay within walking distance of the terminal
Getting there from the terminal
From the station beneath Terminal 1, S-Bahn lines S9 and S85 run towards the city; the ride to Grünbergallee takes about 8–10 minutes, with each line running roughly every 20 minutes during the day. From the station it is around a four-minute walk to the hotel at Alexander-Meissner-Strasse 2. A taxi from the terminal takes about 10 minutes. The hotel does not operate a shuttle.
