Holiday Inn Berlin Airport - Conference Centre sits in Schönefeld, about 3 km from BER’s Terminal 1 as the crow flies (roughly 7 km by road), and houses one of Brandenburg’s largest conference centres with 21 meeting rooms for up to 1,000 guests. For air travellers, the 295-room hotel offers breakfast from 5:30 a.m., a 24-hour front desk and Park, Stay & Go packages with up to 15 days of parking. There is no free terminal shuttle, but the S-Bahn, a local bus and a bookable taxi transfer cover the trip.

Who it’s for

  • Conference and business travellers: 21 event rooms and 295 bedrooms make this one of the main conference addresses at BER.
  • Early flyers: breakfast daily from 5:30 a.m., front desk staffed around the clock.
  • Drivers: video-monitored underground garage with EV charging (including Tesla Superchargers) and a park-sleep-fly package.
  • Guests who want to unwind: top-floor spa area with sauna, steam bath and outdoor terrace.
  • Less suitable if you want to reach the terminal on foot within a few minutes; hotels right at the airport are the better pick for that.

Getting there from the terminal

The hotel does not run a classic free shuttle. Instead it partners with a taxi transfer: from € 17.90 per person when booked online, to be reserved at least 8 hours ahead towards the hotel and at least 2 hours ahead towards the airport. By S-Bahn, take the S9 or S85 two stops from Airport BER Terminal 1–2 station via Waßmannsdorf to Schönefeld (bei Berlin); from there it is a short walk. Bus 744 does stop right outside the hotel, but it only runs to Schönefeld (bei Berlin) station, not to Terminal 1-2, so you change to the S-Bahn there. It also runs during the day only, until about 8:30 pm. A taxi takes about 10 minutes (from € 25). By car: motorway A113, exit Schönefeld-Nord, then about 2 km.
