BER Airport Hotels with Shuttle Service

The short answer first: most guests at BER do not need a hotel shuttle. Two hotels stand directly at Terminal 1, the Steigenberger Airport Hotel Berlin and the IntercityHotel Berlin Airport BER Terminal 1+2, and almost every other hotel is a few minutes away by S-Bahn or bus. Only a few run their own transfer, and it is not always free.

Why shuttles are the exception at BER
The railway station sits directly beneath Terminal 1: S-Bahn lines S9 and S85, the FEX airport express and several regional trains stop there. Most airport hotels are in Schönefeld or Berlin’s southern districts, one S-Bahn stop or a few bus minutes away; a hotel shuttle is often no faster than public transport. Fact check: the hotels in detail
The Moxy Berlin Airport uses a shared bus with the neighbouring parking operator: approx. 3.50 euros per person per ride, tickets at reception, roughly every 30 minutes between about 3:30 am and 12:30 am. At the airport the bus departs from bus bay B02. Public buses 263 and 741 stop right at the hotel and are cheaper.
The LOGINN Hotel Berlin Airport used to run a paid shuttle but no longer offers one: neither the ACHAT operator site nor the booking portals list a transfer (as of August 2026). You hardly need one here, as the S-Bahn from Grünbergallee opposite the hotel reaches Terminal 1 in about 11 minutes.
The Holiday Inn Berlin Airport - Conference Centre has no classic hotel shuttle but works with a bookable taxi transfer from approx. 17.90 euros per person. Book ahead: at least 2 hours for rides to the airport, 8 hours for pick-ups. Alternatively, the S9 runs one stop to Schönefeld. Bus 744 does stop at the hotel, but it terminates at S Schönefeld station (Terminal 5) and does not reach Terminal 1-2.
The Holiday Inn - the niu, Pax Berlin Airport, opened in 2025, is advertised with a free shuttle on some booking portals, but the hotel’s own listings are contradictory; the official amenity list shows none. Ask the hotel before you travel and plan with bus or S-Bahn as a fallback.
When a shuttle is still worth it
A shuttle is most valuable if you arrive by car and leave it at the hotel while you travel: many park, sleep and fly packages already include the transfer; see our park, sleep and fly comparison. At night the S9 and FEX do not run continuously; if you land very late or depart very early, check the timetable or pick a hotel at the terminal. The LOGINN Hotel Berlin Airport has since discontinued its former shuttle. For most hotels the S-Bahn stays the cheapest connection, one stop to Terminal 1.
How do I get from BER to my hotel at night?
At night the N7 night bus takes you from BER towards Schönefeld and Rudow; it runs every night and stops at the airport at bus bay A6-7. The S-Bahn S9 runs all night only before Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (approx. every 30 min), otherwise not through the whole night. Hotel shuttles rarely run at night: the Moxy bus pauses roughly between 12:30 am and 3:30 am. Check current times in advance with the VBB journey planner; if you land very late, the N7 or a taxi is the most reliable choice.
Do I need to reserve the hotel shuttle at BER in advance?
For some hotels yes, for others no. The Moxy bus needs no reservation; you buy the ticket at reception. The bookable taxi transfer of the Holiday Inn Conference Centre, however, needs advance notice, at least 2 hours to the airport and at least 8 hours for a pick-up.
