The ibis budget Berlin Airport is an economy hotel from the Accor group that opened in 2025 in Berlin’s Bohnsdorf district (Treptow-Köpenick), around 6 km from BER Airport. There is no hotel shuttle; instead, the Grünbergallee S-Bahn station is only about 200 m from the building, with S9 and S85 trains running directly to Terminal 1. For budget-conscious travellers, this makes it one of the cheapest modern places to stay near the airport.

Who it’s for

• Budget travellers: rooms start at around €50 per night depending on dates, considerably cheaper than the hotels right at the terminal.
• Early flyers without a car: the S-Bahn gets you to the terminal in around 15 minutes including the walk.
• City-plus-flight itineraries: the S9 reaches central Berlin in about 30 minutes.
• EV drivers: charging stations are available in the outdoor car park.
• Less suitable if you want a free shuttle or a hotel within walking distance of the terminal; the properties directly at the airport are the better pick in that case.

Getting there from the terminal

From the railway station beneath Terminal 1, take S-Bahn line S9 or S85 towards Berlin; the ride to Grünbergallee station takes only a few minutes. From the platform it is roughly 200 m, or a 2-minute walk, to the hotel; allow about 15 minutes in total. By taxi or rental car, the drive takes around 10 minutes (roughly 7 km).

• Buffet breakfast at extra cost: weekdays 6:00–10:00, weekends 7:00–11:00; for very early departures it may start too late.
• The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, and self check-in is also available.
• Parking in the hotel’s outdoor lot is paid (approx. €15 per day); based on our research, no park-sleep-fly package is offered.
• According to booking platforms, rooms are air-conditioned and soundproofed.
• An in-house mini-market sells snacks and drinks, which is handy as there are few restaurants nearby.
